The 18-hole course designed by Franco Piras, the Italian designer, is already well established on the international scene. The golf course also has championship course features that are very different from the northern one. The holes up and down in two large valleys, each one with a lake that covers the game. The course is a single-glance inserted as a link between two nature reserves and the sea on the horizon with the island of Malta. The fairways are carved in the re-naturalizated areas bringing out the shapes with a play of colours and scents that change according to the seasons, recreating the original atmosphere of the place. Large palm trees and pine trees are the only locations where large bunkers define the fairways. The greens are always well defended and stand out amid the Garrigue. The breeze blowing from the sea always makes it interesting for different strategies of the hole.
